Subject: Browser not updating
Question: Why doesn't the browser show my changes for the web page?
Answer: When a change is indicated in the system tray and I select the web page name to display the changes, all that happens is the browser comes up and the page isn't changed. This situation only exists with Netscape. Solution: Go to the Notification Options for that web page and make sure 'Launch Browser' isn't selected. Next, make sure 'Launch Application' is selected and then specify the browser EXE you want to run.

Subject:Secure pages
Question: Why can't I watch some secure pages?
Answer: There is an option in the page properties that accepts a user name and password for a secure page. However, the logon processes always the same on all sites. If the connection to the site requires a user name and password, the logon will work correctly. If logon is accomplished by passing data to the server via an html post, the logon will not work.

Question:What is the difference between the Tools->Options dialog and the Page->Properties dialog?
Answer: The Tools->Options dialog configures settings that are for the application wide. It also changes the default values that are used when adding a new web page. If you wanted all new web pages to notify you by flashing the tray icon or by playing a specific sound, you could set this in the Tools->Option menu. Then all new pages would inherit these settings. If wanted to change the settings for a specific page, then you would use the Page->Properties dialog.

Subject: Customizable pages.
Question:Why can I verify some pages, but not watch them?
Answer: Many sites allow users to create their own custom home pages. These pages are generated on the fly by the web browser. It uses data stored in a cookie to create the page. Unfortunately, WebSiteSleuth is not able to process this type of web page. This may be a feature that is added in future version of this product.
